FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

[TORONTO, ON] The road to the 40th edition of the prestigious Metro Bowl begins in earnest as Football Ontario and Football Toronto proudly launch “Metro Bowl Month” — a high-school football festival that culminates in the crowning of the Metro Bowl champion. The event is powered by an exceptional roster of partners: NFL Canada, the Toronto Argonauts, the Buffalo Bills, University of Toronto’s Varsity Blues Football the Toronto Argonauts Alumni, Area51 Sports, and TYSN. Together, we celebrate athletic excellence, community engagement, and the next generation of football leadership.

A Celebration of Tradition and Talent

Since 1982, the Metro Bowl has stood as the pinnacle of high-school football in the Greater Toronto Area, dating back to the inaugural clash between St. Michael’s College and Woburn Collegiate. Over time it has evolved into a broader festival format that brings together champions from the TDSSAA, TDCAA, ROPSSAA, and LOSSAA leagues — showcasing the very best of Ontario’s high-school football landscape.

With the Buffalo Bills joining as a major partner in September 2025, the Metro Bowl experience takes a leap forward. Their support not only strengthens the event’s legacy but also brings exclusive activation opportunities for players, coaches, and fans alike.
